Blogger-versary | Give away (international)

Happy Saturday folks, i am that behind on life this week i thought it was Friday and all my usual plans are out of the window. I need to film my kindle tutorial tomorrow, i don’t know what it is but its been so busy that this week has flown and now i am sad because it’s almost the end of January – Which makes me feel like the year is ALREADY going quickly. Might just be me though going into panic mode!

Okay, so the title says it all. On the 23rd of January, which is 3 days – BTW i was going to do this competition on the date but i can’t resist.
It will one one year since i embarked on this journey of blogging. Honestly, i never thought it would stick. Like crocheting, i expected myself to throw in the towel and i’d never be seen again.
But something about blogging, (which i tried before and i hated it) – This time round i’d feel kind of lost without it. Even thought i had my days when i was a goner, but we all do that right? Life gets in the way and when we plan it never sticks.

I wanted to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for making my blogging experience here at WordPress so enjoyable! I found lots of new blogs to read that satisfy all of my interests, and all sorts of people. Which still amazes me to this day, all these people me and you living on one planet. Craaaaazy!

So to celebrate my one year, i thought i would do a give away. Honestly if i had the money i would do amazing gifts and pick 5 people so this is going to be mega hard for me. I was hard choosing a winner when i gave away a hat in December.
I collected some items from a local store here in the UK and thought of things that might be cute but really helpful to all of you crafters, writers, bakers, mothers, planners. And mixed it in with the things i also like, or i try to make my blog about.

I have bought something for you to plan/list in (the cat project book) Something to write with (pens) Something else to write in (exercise books) Something to read (the book) and i am working on something cute that i am crocheting, which will be a surprise and i won’t show πŸ™‚

I know it’s not much but i just wanted to thank everyone who’s been so welcoming and nice. It isn’t easy starting a blog or fitting in a social media circle when so many of you have been around for a while and created relationships, but the community here are exactly what humans should be! So many of you get me and my personality, because trust me i didn’t want to show that for a while – Trying to get to know and interact more with writers as well and i will say i have come across some f*cking snobs recently, ones that didn’t even approve my comments on posts. But the good people outshine the nit wits.

Okay shall we move on? So how to enter:

  1. Yay for your Blogaversary! What a fun idea! I started blogging because I started a new hobby (crocheting) and wanted to keep track of the projects I finish, the new skills I learn, and the progress I make. I also wanted the opportunity to learn from others who are more experienced than I am. It’s been a complete joy so far even though I’m only a month in!

  2. Happy blogversary! I started because I had been blogging ‘in my head’ for ages and decided to take the chance whilst I had some free time after quitting a horrid job. 2 years on and still going strong! X

  3. Happy Happy Bloggerversary!!!!!!!
Yours was one of the very first blogs that I followed when I started. Actually my bloggerversary is some time this week LOL I hadn’t even thought about it. Officially my first bloggerversary was in September according to WordPress. But I don’t consider that to be when I started my blog. I only made one post then didn’t even look at it again for four months. It was in January of last year that I finally got the determination and courage to jump in. I had no idea what to expect and my original plan was to just do reviews of youtube tutorials. But wow, this has turned into so much more than I could have ever imagined. The community has been incredible and I have had so much fun. I’ve been neglecting it a bit too much lately but I’ll get back on track eventually. You have been such a great inspiration to me and I’m so happy that you have also become such a great friend. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

  4. I started blogging 2 months ago to let of steam from my busy, tiring life and for once tell my side of the story and not be an introvert for once. But the tiring and busy life got to me and I quit just after 2 posts. But dont wanna quit this time. This year I am gonna plan my life to achieve everything I wish to achieve. Wish me luck.

  5. This is so exciting Rebecca, congratulations on your first year blogging, and I wish you many more!
I first started blogging because I wanted to share my projects after I had just started crocheting. I was honestly not expecting anyone to read me, and definitely not expecting to meet such amazing people as I have, but I’m so glad I did πŸ™‚ Happy blog-versary again!

  6. Oooh… I love a giveaway! I started blogging partly because my husband was nagging me to, but mainly as a way to be more intentionally creative over the course of a year and to keep a photographic record of my creations. A year has gone by and there’s no way I want to give up. I feel like part of a lovely community of people who inspire me and who encourage me, and who I hope I can inspire and encourage back. Now I’ve become more creative I don’t want to give that up either! WordPress… You’re stuck with me!

  7. I had wanted to start a blog for ages but always lacked confidence. One day I just took the plunge and hit publish. I haven’t looked back since. It’s made me so happy to share, read and engage with other bloggers. Happy blogger- versary! 😊 x

      1. Ikr that’s what I thought and spam automatically gets put in that folder. I was really nice in the comment just making general conversation about the blog they had posted. Ikr I am super sweet πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

      2. I’m sure it was an oversight, especially if they have a lot of followers, emails, and notifications to go through every day. I sometimes get a response to my comments a couple of weeks later like they just discovered it. Don’t seeat the small stuff!

  8. Count me in! I started blogging, then gave up…don’t want to be a quitter again. Love the contact with people from far away places. I live in New Mexico, “the land of enchantment,” which is indeed a state, not part of Mexico, as an amazing number of Americans erroneously believe. I enjoy your blogs!
